The grassroots group’s challenges to the registrations were unsuccessful because the city election commission declined to investigate them.
"You can go into the November election with the best laws on the books, but if those laws are gutted in your courts [...] then that law is not worth the paper that it’s written on,” Jason Snead said.
Counties in California, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania have already experienced issues with absentee ballots for November elections.
The attorneys and other volunteers will monitor early voting, election day voting, logic and accuracy machine testing, mail ballot processing, and post-election canvasses, recounts, and audits.
The pair unveiled a legislative effort to require proof of citizenship when adults register to vote in federal elections.
“This settlement represents multiple meaningful steps forward for election integrity in Luzerne County,” Lisa Dixon said.
"Election integrity is one of the most critical issues we face as a party and as a country," McDaniel said.
