In the two most politically sensitive FBI criminal cases since Watergate, the Justice Department has concluded the bureau’s confidential human sources had serious flaws that went undetected for years by the agents handling them.
While the Monday posting appeared inaccurate, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is still expected to ultimately announce charges against Trump and several of his key allies.
"[T]hese defendants authorized and directed violence in the United States, Mexico, and elsewhere as part of a concerted effort to expand MS-13's influence and territorial control," the DOJ stated.
Eastman is accused of advising Trump about a scheme to overturn the 2020 vote with alternate electors.
