Cuomo says Trump was right to criticize WHO handling of coronavirus

<p>New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Friday that President Trump was right to criticize the World Health Organization's handling of the global outbreak of the coronavirus.</p><p>“Where were the warning signs? Who should have blown the whistle?" Cuomo asked at a daily briefing. “The president has asked this question, and I think he’s right. The president’s answer is the World Health Organization should’ve been blowing the whistle.”</p><p>Cuomo said foreign policy isn't his area, but added, "I know the question is right and sometimes the question is more important than the answer.”</p><p>President Trump announced last week the U.S. would halt funding to the WHO, saying the group was not aggressive enough in tackling the virus early on — specifically in managing information coming out of China.</p>
