Fauci explains why he isn't wearing a face mask

<p>Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert and member of the White House coronavirus task force, explained Sunday why he wasn't wearing a face mask, despite new guidelines for Americans to wear one.</p><p>“The major reason to wear a face mask, is to protect you from infecting you,” Fauci said responding to a reporter’s question about why he was not wearing a face mask during the White House’s daily press briefing.</p><p>“I had my test yesterday and it’s negative,” he said.</p><p>The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday issued new guidance recommending Americans voluntarily wear face coverings to help curb the spread of coronavirus.</p>
