Omar ignores question about rising crime in Minneapolis as residents call for more police

Violent crime is surging in Minneapolis, according to local news reports.

A Star Tribune analysis of 50 of the largest Twin Cities suburbs found that "violent crime rates have been rising in the last couple of years in more than a dozen suburbs."
