<p>Retail has come to a standstill amid the coronavirus pandemic, shredding bottom lines of chains that may have been struggling even before the crisis.</p><p>With hundreds of thousands of stores closed nationwide, dozens of retailers have been forced to furlough workers as shelter-in-place measures continue indefinitely.</p><p>More than 100 retailers have closed storefronts, and dozens more have limited hours and partial closures.</p><p>Companies that have gone through bankruptcy proceedings, such as Sears, are on the shakiest ground, and retailers with high debt will have a harder time bouncing back from the impact of the virus and any potential recession, say experts.</p><p>Check out which favorite retail chains may not survive the crisis.</p>
