Analysis: 5 million jobs could be wiped out by Fed Inflation war
The Federal Reserve's plan to fight inflation could cause damage to the nation's job market. According to analysis by RSM, if the Fed revises its inflation target to 3.5%, that could lead to a loss of 1.7 million jobs bringing unemployment rates to 4.6%. The report continued by saying if the Fed set an inflation reduction target of 2%, 5.3 million jobs would be lost in the market.
