AOC opposes TikTok ban in first video on the platform

U.S. Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted her first TikTok video on Saturday, March 25, arguing against banning the app in the US.

Introducing the footage as her “first TikTok about TikTok”, Ocasio-Cortez said she believed a ban on the app would be an “unprecedented move,” saying the “core of the issue” was social media companies collecting “troves of deeply personal data” without “significant regulation.”
