Bodycam footage released of incident involving OK gov's intoxicated son and firearms
Bodycam footage released by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office shows the son of Oklahoma Gov Kevin Stitt, who an incident report said was found intoxicated and in possession of firearms on the night of October 31-November 1. Stitt’s 20-year-old son, John, who goes by the name Drew, claimed ownership of a box of firearms found at Guthrie Haunts on Halloween night, according to the incident report. Police said the box contained two rifles, two pistols, several magazines, and ammunition. In the footage, Stitt can be heard admitting to the deputies at the scene that he had consumed alcohol, and that one of the firearms belonged to his father. “To be honest, my dad’s the governor,” Stitt says in the footage, before Deputy Kaitlin Long responds, saying, “I don’t care."
