Destructive wildfire rages in central Chile

Chilean officials ordered evacuations in parts of central Chile as a destructive wildfire burned in the region late Wednesday, February 1.

Footage posted to Twitter by Bomberos de Chile shows fire crews working to contain the fire as it burned near homes in a forest area of Chillan, the capital city in the Nuble region, on Wednesday night. Local media reported, citing officials, that several homes were burned in the Villa Jerusalen neighborhood and surrounding areas.
