DOJ sues Rite Aid for allegedly violating Controlled Substances Act
On Monday, the Justice Department filed a lawsuit against Rite Aid Pharmaceuticals for allegedly violating the Controlled Substances Act, reporting that the company knowingly filled unlawful prescriptions for controlled substances to some patients that supposedly did not have any medical issues. The DOJ is now accusing the pharmacy corporation for having played a significant role in paving the destructive path towards America’s unresolved opioid crisis today.
