California Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell announced Monday that he will be resigning from the House, a day after he suspended his gubernatorial campaign in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations. It was not immediately clear when the lawmaker would formally leave the post, but Swalwell said he would work with his staff to ensure they are able to still help constituents in his absence.
