Frisco police apologize after drawing guns on family headed to basketball tournament

Frisco, Texas police are apologizing to an Arkansas family after pulling them over with guns drawn in a "high risk stop". The family was headed to a basketball tournament in Grapevine when an officer ran their plates that indicated Arizona instead of Arkansas. The mistake caused police to believe the vehicle may have been stolen. Officers shut down one side of the highway and ordered the mother and her son out of the vehicle. A sergeant arrived and apologized after the officers realized they had made a mistake.
