Georgia parents of transgender youth file lawsuit to block sex reassignment, hormone therapy ban
Parents of four transgender children filed a federal lawsuit Friday challenging Georgia’s newest legislation that would ban sex reassignment surgeries and hormone replacement therapies for minors. The parents of the transgender children, ranging in age from 10 to 12, argue that the new law “strips them of their right to make critical decisions about the children’s health care.” The new legislation is set to go into effect on July 1.
