Gov. DeSantis: The same people who want to defund the police oppose individual gun rights

“It is no coincidence that throughout history, one of the first things that authoritarian regimes have sought to do is to disarm their own citizens,” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said at the National Rifle Association’s annual meeting on Friday. Gov. DeSantis said people who support defunding the police and oppose an individual’s right to guns want criminals to have the upper hand.
