Gov. DeSantis throws jab at Trump’s 2016 pledge to ‘drain the swamp’, vows to ‘break’ it instead
Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) criticized former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign promise to “drain the swamp” during a town hall event in Hollis, New Hampshire Tuesday. “It’s worse today than it’s ever been, by far…but even if you’re successful at draining it, the next guy can just refill it,” said Gov. DeSantis. “So I want to break the swamp.”
