Harriet Tubman monument replaces Christopher Columbus statue in NJ
A monument honoring Harriet Tubman called “Shadow of a Face” was unveiled Thursday in Newark, New Jersey. It includes an audio installation of Tubman’s life narrated by Queen Latifah. The monument replaces a statue of Christopher Columbus that was removed in 2020.
