Henry Cavill will not be returning as Superman in new film

Henry Cavill will not be reprising his role as the man of steel. DC Studios co-head James Gunn tweeted that he is writing a new Superman film in a reimagined universe focused on Clark Kent's earlier life in Metropolis.

Cavill posted on Instagram that he's sad he won't be returning but wished everyone involved in the new film the best of luck.
