Indonesia raises alert after Mount Semeru volcano erupts
Residents near Mount Semeru in Indonesia’s East Java province were forced to evacuate the area following the eruption. The country’s disaster management agency advised people not to carry out activities within a 3 mile radius from the top of Mount Semeru, the tallest mountain on Java. There have been no reports of injuries or deaths so far.
