Intense flooding surrounds Florida airport, airliner tarmac and cars completely submerged

Flights were grounded and travelers stranded at Florida’s Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport after severe flash flooding on Wednesday, April 12th. The initial flash flood emergency that caused the heavy rain to turn into massive flooding all around the airport, including waves seen on top of the airliner tarmac, was upgraded to tropical storm status, according to Florida's National Weather forecast authorities.
