Iraqi protestors storm, vandalize Swedish embassy in retaliation to Quran burning in Stockholm
Hundreds of Iraqi protestors breached the Swedish embassy in Baghdad Thursday in protest of the man who burned a Quran outside a mosque in Stockholm, Sweden Wednesday. Protestors climbed to the top of Sweden’s embassy building to remove the country’s national emblem from the roof. The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on Sweden’s government to extradite the Quran burner, identified to Swedish media as an Iraqi Christian refugee, for prosecution in Iraq.
