Jason Foster: The DOJ misled the courts in order to spy on Kash Patel, congressional staffers

Empower Oversight President Jason Foster says Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on the agency’s surveillance of numerous lawmakers and staffers found the DOJ hid facts and deliberately misled the court. “They claimed multiple times, for forty or more staffers over a six-year period, they claimed over and over again that we were either flight risks or working with a foreign power or that we would destroy records if we just found out that Google and those other providers had turned over our records,” he says. “Well, none of that was true. They had no probable cause to believe that was true. They had no evidence or support for that.”
