Former U.S. Attorney Jay Town says Special counsel Jack Smith’s new superseding indictment against former President Donald Trump toes the line of a Justice Department rule stating prosecutors should avoid taking actions that could affect an election within 60 days of voting. “Voting is beginning in a week. People are already picking up ballots or the ballots are already being printed,” he says.
