The ISIS-K “mastermind” of the Abbey Gate suicide bombing at Kabul, Afghanistan’s international airport in 2021 has been killed by the Taliban, National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby told reporters Tuesday. Kirby expressed condolences to the families of the 13 servicemen who died from the bombing.
