2022 Arizona Gubernatorial Nominee Kari Lake addresses Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer’s defamation lawsuit against her and the legal action she has taken to defend herself. “It would be very dangerous if we have a government official, a politician, an elected official who is able to scare people away from speaking up about things that are important because they’re afraid of being sued for defamation,” says Lake. “This is a frivolous lawsuit and it should go no further.”
