Largest fire in Nova Scotia history rages across over 20k hectares
As the largest forest fire in Nova Scotia's recorded history continued to rage out of control Saturday, more evacuation orders were issued for parts of Shelburne County. The fire, which had already destroyed numerous homes and expanded to cover 21,515 hectares, prompted Environment Canada to warn residents about the affected air quality and advise them to use masks or respirators when outdoors.
