At least 27 people dead in Colombian landslide

At least 27 people died Sunday when a landslide hit a rural highway in the Colombian city of Pueblo Rico, Risaralda, Colombia's National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD) reported Monday.

Risaralda is a mountainous province in central Colombia where road travel is difficult due to dangerous terrain.

According to the UNGRD, 75 rescuers are still working on the scene and at least six people are receiving hospital care after suffering injuries in the collapse.
