Michigan AG condemns fake electors for ‘fraudulent and legally baseless’ efforts in 2020 election

During a televised press conference Tuesday, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel slammed the 16 fake electors’ 2020 election plot to falsely certify President Donald Trump's win in Michigan. "This plan to reject the will of the voters and undermine democracy was fraudulent and legally baseless,” said Nessel. “The false electors’ actions undermine the public's faith in the integrity of our elections.” All sixteen individuals have been charged with eight felonies related to election law and forgery.
