Monica Crowley: ‘Seismic decision’ in Google antitrust lawsuit could shake up internet landscape

Monica Crowley, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Public Affairs, says it will be hard for Google to recover from today’s stock market plunge and its loss in a major antitrust lawsuit against the Justice Department. A federal judge ruled Monday that Google has maintained an unfair monopoly over its search engine and that it must stop its anticompetitive behavior. “Google is not a good faith player here and it's going to be very interesting to see the fallout from this decision,” she says.
