More than half of DC bureaucrats telework 3 to 5 days a week, Rep. James Comer reports
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) says more than half of federal bureaucrats, roughly 250,000 DC employees, are teleworking between three to five days a week. Following this assessment, Rep. Comer says the next step forward is to mandate all federal employees return to the office fulltime in order to determine which positions are necessary or should be axed. Rep. Comer suggests turning unused federal office space into housing developments as a way to “get them off the taxpayers’ backs.”
