Moscow Court rejects WSJ Reporter Evan Gershkovich detention appeal
A Moscow Court rejected Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich’s pretrial detention appeal Tuesday morning. Gershkovich was arrested on espionage charges while on a reporting trip in Yekaterinburg on March 29. If convicted, Gershkovich could face 20 years in prison; however, Russian officials have alluded to a potential prisoner swap following a trial.
