NHC Director says to expect a busy hurricane season

Michael Brennan, Director of the National Hurricane Center, warned Americans to expect a busy hurricane season at a press conference with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration on Wednesday. Brennan said the U.S. should expect 12 to 17 named tropical storms this season, with five to nine of those becoming hurricanes and between one and four growing to Category 3 and higher.
