Representative Harriet Hageman (R-WY) says the impact of COVID-mandated school shutdowns will be felt for decades. “My heart breaks for the children who had to suffer through what happened during that period of time. But it also helped to create organizations like [Moms for Liberty]. It woke people up to what was actually going on,” she says. “Because it isn’t just the Department of Education that is failing us. There are many other federal agencies that are failing us. We just don’t have them effecting our children so directly that you could actually watch it on a Zoom screen and see what was happening.”
