Sec. Buttigieg addresses I-95 bridge collapse, offers full support ‘for as long as it takes’
During a speech Monday at the annual convention of the American Council of Engineering Companies in Washington, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg discussed his department’s work to help rebuild the I-95 bridge after it collapsed in Northeast Philadelphia early Sunday. Sec. Buttigieg said the Department of Transportation has been working with the mayor and emergency responders on restoring the area and offered full support while the project takes time to complete.
