Severe winter storm affecting South, heading northeast

Severe winter weather is affecting millions of Americans from the South to the Northeast. A vicious brew of freezing rain and sleet has pounded parts of the Midwest and southern United States, including Austin, Texas. More than 370,000 Texas customers were without power as of late Wednesday. Over two-thousand flights in, out of, and around the U.S. were canceled Wednesday, mostly due to the weather, according to the Flight Aware tracking site. Now the Northeast is preparing for a separate bone-chilling blast, as they remain under a wind chill watch and warning until Saturday afternoon.
