Study: Psychological distress linked to long COVID
A study published in JAMA Psychiatry stated that patients with a previous history of common psychiatric conditions like depression and anxiety could have up to a 50% higher risk of developing long-term covid related symptoms. The researchers adjusted for other variables such as body weight, smoking status, and other previous medical conditions.
