Two former executives of Sam Bankman-Fried’s crypto-currency firms plead guilty

Caroline Ellison and Gary Wang, former executives of Samuel Bankman-Fried’s crypto-currency firms, have pleaded guilty to fraud charges and are cooperating with prosecutors, according to the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York (SDNY). Bankman-Fried is under investigation for an alleged fraud scheme that contributed to the collapse of crypto-currency company FTX, and for a campaign finance scheme that allegedly sought to influence public policy in Washington, according to a statement from SDNY attorney Damian Williams.
