U.S. Treasury rolls out clean energy tax incentives for non-profits, local governments

The U.S. Treasury Department released new guidance Wednesday allowing tax-exempt organizations and state and local governments to monetize clean energy tax credits. The new rule is meant to make it easier for nonprofits and government entities to subsidize clean energy products while expanding renewable energy usage across the country. White House Senior Advisor John Podesta lauded the new rule as a “game changer.”
