Victoria Coates breaks down the historic significance of the Assad regime’s collapse

Former Deputy National Security Advisor Victoria Coates explains the fall of the Assad regime and growing conflict in Syria. “For the first time in half a century, Syria is not ruled by an Assad. That’s a good thing. They’ve been awful. We’ve all seen the horrific videos of the folks that are coming out of their prisons, they can barely talk they’ve been so abused. They’ve used chemical weapons repeatedly on their own people and they’ve been basically henchmen for the Russians and the Iranians. So no tears spared for Assad,” she says.
