White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Monday that "the removal of Title 42 does not mean the border is open." She further stated that Title 8, which will be implemented after Title 42 expires, will "make sure people have their asylum claims heard" and that those with no basis to stay in the U.S. will be quickly removed.
