WV AG Patrick Morrisey: Biden's energy rules would trigger a ‘depression, not just a recession’

West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey says the Biden administration’s new energy rules are trying to shut down coal-fired and natural gas power plants. “It’s also important to note that this carbon emission policy is being done at the exact time that Biden is trying to do mandatory electric vehicles across the country,” he adds. “And if you were to wipe out coal and natural gas, the very sources of energy that you use to fuel the power grid when you try to move to these mandatory EVS, that’s what we think in West Virginia would warrant a depression, not just a recession."
