A knife attack in Sydney, Australia, left four wounded. New South Wales Police were called to a crash scene at an intersection in Engadine, a suburb of Sydney, on Sunday morning and found multiple stab victims.

Arriving officers first found a 55-year-old man with apparent stab wounds running from the crash scene, Fox News reported.

Officers took the man into custody, using a taser during the arrest. During the interaction, a male officer reportedly sustained a "serious" wrist laceration.

A female passenger of the crashed vehicle also suffered multiple stab wounds, while a fourth person, whose involvement in the incident is unknown, was also injured.

Paramedics treated all four at the scene. Officials are investigating the incident.

Reuters is reporting that the attack came after a "domestic-related" incident in a car involved in a collision with another vehicle.
