Imprisoned Russian opposition leader Navalny located after 3 weeks without contact
He was located in a colony above the Arctic Circle.
Imprisoned Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny was located in a penal colony, his associates said Monday, nearly three weeks after losing contact with him.
"His lawyer visited him today. Alexey is doing well," Navalny's spokesperson Kira Yarmysh said Monday on X, formerly Twitter.
The colony is located above the Arctic Circle, according to The Associated Press.
Navalny, one of the most notorious critics of Russian President Vladimir Putin, is serving a 19-year prison sentence for extremism.
