Court in Tel Aviv orders Israel's general strike to be stopped earlier than planned
The court in Bat Yam said the strike has to end by 2:30 p.m. local time.
A Tel Aviv court ordered on Monday that the massive general strike end early.
The labor court in Bat Yam said the strike, part of a large demonstration in response to the murder of six Israeli hostages by Hamas, has to end by 2:30 p.m. local time. This is almost four hours earlier than when the labor union Histadrut intended to stop it, according to CNN.
The labor union said it would comply with the order.
Over the weekend, Israel recovered the hostages' bodies from a tunnel under Rafah in Gaza.
According to BBC, protests have been occurring in Tel Aviv with people demanding more action to bring hostages home.
