WY Rep blasts Biden admin intel briefing on Israel attack, said they didn't seem to see its urgency
Hageman said that one particular individual in the briefing looked like he needed to have his pulse checked.
Wyoming GOP Rep. Harriet Hageman blasted the intelligence briefing that was given to Congress over the recent attack on Israel, saying that those giving the briefing didn't see the urgency of the situation.
"I was struck by almost the lackadaisical nature and the reaction of the people who are giving us a briefing, and that's not disclosing anything that's classified," Hageman said on the Wednesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "I was struck by how they don't seem to believe that there is any kind of urgency associated with this situation."
Palestinian terrorists in Gaza launched an attack against Israel over the weekend with rockets and ground forces, inflicting significant casualties. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared war following the attack.
At least 22 U.S. citizens were killed according to the State Department, as the overall death toll from Saturday's invasion is over 1,200.
"We watched the slaughter of innocent women and children and soldiers," Hageman said. "We are aware of the women and children being raped. We're aware of the horrific things coming out of there."
She added that one particular individual in the briefing looked like he needed to have his pulse checked.
"I thought with one guy we were going to need to check his pulse as he was talking because he was so uninterested in actually engaging and explaining the urgency of the situation ... that's about the level of engagement that we had," Hageman stated.
