After Twitter Files release, Nunes blasts Democrats for falsely portraying him as a Russian bot
"We've had a major disinformation campaign that quite frankly made many Americans delusional," Devin Nunes said.
CEO of TRUTH Social and former Congressman Devin Nunes is calling out Democrats for falsely portraying him as a Russian bot, following the most recent release of the Twitter Files.
The 14th tranche of the Twitter Files was released Thursday including emails showing how lawmakers crafted and pushed a narrative claiming that Russian bots were responsible for bolstering claims in a report on the Trump-Russia investigation by Nunes, who at the time was chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.
"If you go back and look at that timeframe when we were going back and forth with Facebook and Twitter — I'm talking about 2017 and 2018, they never would come out and actually say that this was bogus information," Nunes said on Thursday's edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "Now, they knew it. They told us privately at the time."
The politicians cited as having been involved in pushing the false narrative are Democrat Sens. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut and Dianne Feinstein of California, plus Rep. Adam Schiff, also from California.
Former Rep. Nunes elaborated on how Big Tech and the government really worked together to construct this narrative on social media.
"Big tech was coming under full control of the FBI, DOJ, bad actors and of course, the Democratic National Party and their committees and their power structure," Nunes stated.
"For years and years now, you've had 60% of America, roughly that has been under this spell of the united alliance between the Democratic Party, the fake news media, and Big Tech," he continued. "Now ultimately it looks like also most of our intelligence agencies. So that's who's lost here. We've had a major disinformation campaign that quite frankly made many Americans delusional."
