Hunter Biden deposition scheduled for February 28
Hunter Biden has yet to testify in the burgeoning impeachment inquiry into his father.
House Republicans on Thursday announced that Hunter Biden has agreed to appear for a deposition before the Oversight and Judiciary Committees on February 28, according to a joint statement.
“Hunter Biden will appear before our committees for a deposition on February 28, 2024. His deposition will come after several interviews with Biden family members and associates. We look forward to Hunter Biden’s testimony,” Chairmen James Comer of Oversight and Jim Jordan of Judiciary said in a post to X.
Before the first son appears before the committees, six impeachment inquiry witnesses with first-hand knowledge of Hunter Biden's business dealings over the course of Joe Biden's vice presidency and afterward are set to appear for depositions. These include Eric Schwerin, the longtime business partner of Biden through his Rosemont Seneca firm, and Tony Bobulinski, who was at the center of the Biden family effort to secure millions from the Chinese.
