If they do move forward with the redo, members would vote for a new male vice chair from June 12-14 followed by a vote for a second vice chair of any gender from June 15-17.
The comments come as the Republican Party starts looking at who will lead it after Trump departs the Oval Office in four years. Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are considered early contenders for the nomination.

According to the poll results, 46% of registered voters are ready to vote for Vance, 40.

The senator has acknowledged that he has been considered a possible candidate for 2028, but said he was not immediately thinking about running for the Oval Office.
