Cash App founder Lee fatally stabbed in San Francisco

As of now, no arrest has been made and the San Francisco police have not come out with any other details about the suspect

Cash App co-founder Bob Lee was killed in a stabbing in San Francisco earlier this week, according to multiple news reports Wednesday.

Lee was reportedly attacked early Tuesday morning near the Bay Bridge at about 2:35 a.m. He died later in the day. It was unclear as of Wednesday afternoon why he was on the bridge and whether he was a pedestrian or motorist.

The 43-year-old Lee was the chief product officer of MobileCoin. He was the former chief technology officer of Square, as well as one of the founders of Cash App.

"Bob was a dynamo, a force of nature," MobileCoin CEO Joshua Goldbar told local TV station KNTV. "Bob believed in the dignity of privacy. He wanted a world where you and I could transact free from the prying eyes of predatory corporations and criminals. We are grateful for and humbled by all he has done for us.”
