Coastal Ecuador shaken by earthquake, no immediate damage or injuries reported

The earthquake occurred roughly 50 miles south of Ecuador's second-largest city, Guayaquil.

Coastal Ecuador was hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 in the Guayas region.

As of now there have been no reports of immediate damage or injuries, according to the New York Post.

The earthquake occurred roughly 50 miles south of Ecuador's second-largest city, Guayaquil. 

Social media videos show people coming together on Guayaquil streets and nearby communities.
